How to fix it?
The tripping usually occurs when there is an overflow of
current and this occurrence appears after a light strikes or an outlet that is
heavily stressed and it draws out a lot of current that exceeds it normal
limit. You can fix this problem by following these steps:
1.
Any electrical device that can be effected by
these power outage should be turned off. What you can do is that you switch off
every device connected to the power outlets. And if some devices do not have a
manual OFF switch then you can unplug it, just like some TVs. When the circuit
breaker is being reset it is better not to have any electrical appliances drawing
electrical current or even more damage can occur. If the power is up again all
of a sudden the power surge can damage these electronics.
2.
Then after that go to where the circuit breaker
is installed, look for the breakers in the OFF way which you can also tell by
the colors as some have red or orange colors when they are switched OFF.
3.
Then the next step is very simple and you only
have to switch it from OFF to ON position. After doing that you can turn all
the electronic back on that you switched off in the beginning. If this problem
still proceeds then it is better to call an expert or maybe even change the
circuit breakers which you can easily find at an electronic components store either online or in physical stores
whichever is preferable by you.
Does the Problem Continue?
If the problem still continues then it means that it is a
serious issue and some damaged might have occurred to the circuit breakers
which now you need to replace. You can easily buy new ones at an electronic components store. This
repeated tripping of the circuit breaker and it being damaged could be one of
the following reasons:
· One most common and dangerous could be a short
circuit occurrence where there is a current overload flowing through the
circuit.
·
Another reason could also be an overloaded
circuit in which the circuit can handle the current flow and tends to switch
OFF the circuit breakers. This is very damage as it can damage electronic
appliances and even cause a fire.
·
Ground fault is another reason which is caused
when the hot wire and the bare ground wire touch the metal box in which they
are enclosed in. this causes a chain reaction which results in more electric
current flowing through the circuit and causes the circuit to trip.
